Have you ever heard of W. Clement Stone?

If you haven’t…
His full name was William Clement Stone. He was an American businessman, philanthropist and New Thought self-help book author.
He was born in 1902, and lived until September 3rd, 2002.
In his books he talked about the idea of:
“small hinges swing big doors”.
In interpreting that, the idea is that small actions (small hinges) can and do lead to great success (big doors swinging).
So…
Here are of his 3 Little Hinges that Swing Big Doors
So…
Let’s look at these 3 “small hinges” that W. Clement Stone noted:
- In the end, your “environment” will control you; therefore, make sure that you control your environment. Avoid situations, acquaintances, and associates who tend to hold you back.
- Success is achieved by those who “try”. Where there is a lot to gain and little to lose, try.
- Thinking will not overcome fear, but “action” will.
So…
1. Take charge and be in control. If you don’t others “environment” will do it for you.
2. Try. Just start. Give it a try and things will come into place.
3. Action. Take action. The late Gary Halbert used to say:
“Action trumps meditation”
So there you go.
Follow those simple steps and make magic happen.
